Hotplot started out in the summer of 2005... Initially just being a couple of students annoyed with the price of prints in town who decided to buy a small(ish) printer... There was no fancy website, just a few posters and a phone number for the people who knew us... A few years later, the market was realised so the service got its first website... It may still be hiding on our domain for those who know where... The first marketing was an email... sent to all the Local students of Architecture.. (By accident - but thats another story!!). From here, the service just grew, supporting the students through various means, including running competitions with a prize for our logo design, sponsoring end of year shows and sponsoring various clubs and societies etc... The Hotplot Trademark was registered by 2009 and now with the support of the Universities we plan to expand into new markets and offer all the services we have had requested over the past years...
